Your Spanish foreign identification number and physical residence card. Appointment management and full document preparation — often required before or alongside your main permit application.
Overview
The NIE (Número de Identidad de Extranjero) is the tax and identification number assigned to every foreigner in Spain. It is required for almost every formal process — signing a contract, opening a bank account, registering a car, filing taxes or applying for a residence permit.
The TIE (Tarjeta de Identidad de Extranjero) is the physical biometric card issued to non-EU residents with a valid residence permit. It is your proof of legal residence in Spain and serves as your primary identity document for day-to-day use. EU citizens receive the EU Registration Certificate (Certificado de Registro) instead of the TIE.
